Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how B-Micron, LLC (“B-Micron,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit b-micron.com or use our MEMS foundry ordering portal (together, the “Services”).

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you sign in we use a passwordless email link, so the only identifier we need is your email address. Once signed in you may complete your profile with your name, company, phone number, and shipping address.
  • Order information. Details of quotes and orders you submit — process selections, quantities, dies, pricing, status, and any design files (DXF or otherwise) you attach.
  • Conversation messages. Per-order messages and attachments you send to or receive from B-Micron through the portal.
  • Payment information. Card and bank details are collected and processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We retain the payment status, last-four digits, receipt URL, and Stripe's customer/invoice IDs.
  • Technical information. Standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, request timestamps) generated by our hosting provider when you visit the Services.
  • Cookies and local storage. A session cookie and a small amount of browser local storage that keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, fulfil, and improve the Services and your orders.
  • Communicate with you about quotes, orders, shipping, and payments (via transactional email sent through Resend).
  • Process payments and invoices through Stripe, including sales tax calculation where applicable.
  • Alert our team to new activity on your orders (we forward short, non-payment summaries to an internal Telegram channel so we can respond quickly).
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents, abuse, or technical issues.
  • Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Portal service providers that help us run the platform under contract — currently Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Telegram (internal notifications). These providers operate primarily in the United States.
  • Fabrication and process partners who carry out MEMS fabrication, mask making, and related foundry services on B-Micron's behalf. Our principal fabrication partners are located in the Republic of Korea (South Korea). To fabricate your order they receive the information needed to do so — typically your design files, process selections, quantities, and shipping address. They are bound by confidentiality obligations equivalent to the protections described in Section 4.
  • Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners when your order is dispatched.
  • Authorities when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of B-Micron, our customers, or others.
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

4. Confidentiality of your designs

Mask files, DXFs, drawings, and other technical materials you upload are treated as your confidential information. We use them only to quote, fabricate, and ship your order, and we limit internal access to personnel who need it for that purpose. We do not share your designs with other customers and do not use them to train any general-purpose model.

The same confidentiality obligations extend to our overseas fabrication partners (see Section 3): they may receive your designs only for the purpose of producing your order and are contractually prohibited from disclosing them or using them for any other purpose.

5. Data retention

We retain account, order, and invoice records for as long as your account is active and for the period required by tax, accounting, and warranty obligations (generally 7 years from the invoice date in the United States). Design files attached to an order are retained for the life of the order plus a reasonable reorder window; you may request earlier deletion subject to the legal exceptions described below.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls in the database (row-level security), and limit production access to a small number of administrators. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email info@b-micron.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and similar state-privacy jurisdictions: we do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland: our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, and compliance with legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. International data transfers

B-Micron is headquartered in the United States, and our portal infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Telegram) operate primarily from the United States. Our principal MEMS fabrication, mask-making, and related process partners are located in the Republic of Korea (South Korea). To fabricate your order we transfer the necessary information — including your design files, process selections, and shipping address — to those partners in South Korea.

If you access the Services from outside the United States or South Korea, your information will be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions (and any other location where our providers and partners operate). We rely on appropriate safeguards, including contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations with each recipient, to protect your information during these transfers. If you would like more detail about a specific transfer, contact us at the address in Section 11.

9. Children

The Services are intended for use by businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
